Vazifdar Branding
Project Date: Fall 2019 - Spring 2021
logo design, branding and web portfolio.
Photos by Aiden Doyle
I collaborated with Jehan Vazifdar for their fashion design
thesis branding. I designed a logo and accompanying branding guide for
Jehan’s thesis collection, which was then used to inform their web portfolio.

The collection interprets traditional Parsi garments
through queered colonial tailoring techniques. Jehan wanted a
logo that bridged classic typographic forms like serifs, and the contemporary
visuals of luxury fashion. I was inspired by the progressive forms of Jehan’s
tailoring and the role of time in the evolution of design. We settled on a directional
slab serif mixed with a contemporary low-contrast font.
The website was a later collaboration with Jehan after graduation.
I designed Jehan’s web portfolio around Jehan’s taste for color and powerful
imagery, while expanding on the previous branding for web interactivity and adding Icons,
text and menus. The icons were designed after an unused herringbone fabric pattern and later
made into laser-cut jewelry by Jehan Vaharika.
